Billing, upgrades, and cancellation
How plan changes work, what happens to your data on downgrade, and what cancellation actually does.
Where billing lives
Billing belongs to the company and is managed under Company settings > Billing. One subscription covers every project and every team member; there are no per-seat charges. Payment details are handled through a secure payment portal reachable from the same page.
Monthly and yearly intervals are available on all tiers, and yearly saves about 20%.
Upgrading
Pick the higher tier on the billing page and the new limits apply right away: more prompt slots, more projects, more countries. Nothing needs migrating, and scans continue uninterrupted.
Downgrading: choose what to keep
Downgrading to a plan with lower limits than you currently use does not silently drop anything. Recited shows you exactly what the target plan includes and asks you to choose:
- which projects stay active, if you have more than the target allows
- which prompts keep scanning, per project, up to the new limit
- which countries and which AI platforms each project keeps
Anything you do not keep is archived, never deleted. Archived prompts stop scanning and move to your archive; archived projects go dormant. All of their history remains, and upgrading later lets you bring them back with their past intact. The confirm button stays disabled until your selections fit the new plan, so there are no surprises about what the downgrade means.
Cancelling
Cancelling stops renewal, not access. You keep everything until the end of the period you have already paid for: scans keep running, the team keeps working, and nothing is deleted. You can resume any time before the period ends and nothing will have been interrupted.
After the paid period ends, scanning stops but your history is not thrown away. Coming back later means picking up your data, not starting over.
Failed payments
If a payment does not go through, the billing page will tell you and scans are at risk of pausing until the card is updated. Fixing the payment method in the portal sets things right; your data is not affected.
Practical advice
- Before downgrading, glance at the Prompts page sorted by visibility and demand, so you keep the prompts doing the most work.
- Archiving beats deleting even when you are sure: an archived prompt's history makes its metrics meaningful again the day you re-activate it.
- Yearly makes sense once tracking is a habit. Most teams know within a month whether the daily scan routine stuck.
