Momentum: how the source landscape moves

The set of sources AI trusts is not static. New sites break in, old standbys fade, and a rising source can reshuffle who gets recommended. The Momentum view on Domains groups sources into four buckets:

How to read each bucket

• Gaining sources are tomorrow's kingmakers. Getting present on a source while it rises is far easier than displacing competitors after it peaks.
• New sources are worth a quick look every scan. Most are noise; occasionally one is a new comparison page or directory that will matter, and being early there is cheap.
• Fading sources tell you where not to invest. If your visibility leans on a fading source, that is a quiet risk worth fixing before it bites.
• Most cited is the establishment. Presence here is table stakes for your category.

Bookmarks: your source watchlist

Any domain or page can be bookmarked with the bookmark icon on its row. Bookmarks are shared across the project, so the whole team sees the same watchlist, and the tables have a filter to show only bookmarked sources.

Good candidates for bookmarking:

• Sources you are actively doing outreach to from Missing citations, so you can check whether earned mentions are changing answers.
• Your own domain and key pages, to watch your citation strength over time.
• The two or three sources that drive your strongest prompts, because a change there hits your numbers first.

A simple weekly routine

1. Open Domains, switch to Momentum.
2. Scan New and Gaining for anything relevant. Bookmark what you want to watch.
3. Check your bookmarked sources' deltas: pulls and cited-in-text movement since last scan.
4. If a bookmarked source from your outreach list shows you newly named on it, verify in the answer log that answers citing it now include you.

Ten minutes, and you know how the ground under your answers is shifting.
