Projects and companies
How the account is structured: a company holds billing and members, and each project tracks one brand.
Two levels, clean split
Recited has two levels of structure:
- The company is the account. It holds the subscription, billing, and team members. One plan covers the whole company.
- A project tracks one brand domain. Prompts, platforms, countries, competitors, scans, and articles all live inside a project.
Your plan sets how many projects the company can hold: one on Launch, two on Scale, five on Advanced.
What lives where
| Company level | Project level |
|---|---|
| Plan and billing | Brand domain and profile |
| Team members | Prompts, topics, tags |
| Project list | Platforms and countries |
| Competitors and tracked brands | |
| Scan history and answer log | |
| Opportunities and articles | |
| API keys and MCP access |
The split keeps things clean for multi-brand teams: each brand's data, content pipeline, and API keys are isolated in its project, while people and payment are managed once.
One brand per project
A project is built around a single brand domain, and the metrics assume it: visibility, share of voice, and the leaderboard all measure that one brand against its market. Do not mix two brands in one project; give each its own.
Two of your own products with separate domains and separate competitive sets are two projects. One brand sold in three countries is one project tracking three countries, plan permitting; see picking platforms and countries.
For agencies
Advanced's five projects fit agency work naturally: one project per client brand. Members are company-wide, so your team sees every client project. Client-facing reporting can run on each project's own API keys, which keeps one client's integration fully separate from another's.
Project settings worth knowing
Inside a project, settings cover the brand profile, the tracked brands and their domains (add competitors here so they are recognized by name and domain), and API keys under Settings > API keys & MCP.
Company settings cover the company profile, Members, and Billing.
Session note
If you create a new project and immediately get permission errors on it, refresh your session by signing out and back in. New projects need your session to catch up before project-scoped calls work.
